I make these rings from recycled sterling silver wire. Once I've made the ring I take the tip through a patterned rolling mill to flatten it and give it the stripy pattern. This process gives it an organic, one of a kind look, no ring is exactly the same as the other one. I then saw the ring open and polish the ends so they will go through your piercing smoothly.
To finish I oxidize it, and polish it leaving some of the oxide on to enhance the pattern.
The ring is only patterned on one side.
In the third picture you can see what the different sizes looks like. In picture 4 and 5 the model is wearing a 10mm 14g (1.6mm) and in 6 and 7 a 8mm 16g (1.2mm).
