I make these rings from round brass wire. Once I've made the ring I take the tip through a rolling mill several times to give it the teardrop shape. This process gives it an organic, one of a kind look, almost a perfect teardrop shape.
I then saw the ring open and polish the ends so they will go through your ears smoothly. To finish I mattify it and oxidize it, then i brush some of the oxide off, each ring has a slightly different finish.
They are made with 3mm (between 10g and 8g) wire and the outside diameter is 50mm (approx. 2 inches) and the length is 65mm (approx. 2.5 inches)
The measurments are approximate since they're handmade using an organic non precise method but I match up the pairs pretty well (if I can say so myself). They weigh approx. 9 gram each.
