I make these rings from round brass wire. Once I've made the ring I take the tip through a rolling mill several times to give it the teardrop shape. This process gives it an organic, one of a kind look, almost a perfect teardrop shape.
I then saw the ring open and polish the ends so they will go through your ears smoothly. Finally I give the hoops a rustic, matte finish and bring them to a local plating business to get them plated in 24k gold.
They are made with 2.5mm (10g) wire and the outside diameter is 30mm and the length is 40mm.
The measurments are approximate since they're handmade using an organic non precise method but I match up the pairs pretty well (if I can say so myself).
