I make these lightweight hoops from 2mm copper wire. Once I shaped them to hoops (as you can see from the pictures they're not perfect hoops but have an organic, slightly irregular shape, they will look roun in your ears though) I hammer and oxidize them, then I brush some of the oxide off, giving it a raw, rustic look.
You open them by twisting the ends away from each other (pic. 4). Since they're so light, the small ones weigh 3 grams and the large ones 4 grams each, they're perfect to wear several at the same time, and also to mix with the brass version.

The inside diameter is 40mm (approx. 1.5 inches) or 50mm (aprox. 2 inches).
