I make this piece by first making a hoop in sterling silver, solder it together and then shape it on a teardrop shaped mandrel. Then I solder a 3mm setting at the end of the drop and set a cabochon cut stone.
I then saw the hoop open again at the soldering joint. To finish off I oxidize the piece to give it more depth in the detail and I then polish the main part of the piece to a high shine silver finish.
I make this piece in 1mm (18g) 1.2mm (16g) and 1.6mm (14g) in two different sizes: (All measurments are inner mearsurments)
