I make these simple yet stunning earweights from 2.5mm (10g) round copper wire. To finish I mattify it and oxidize it, then i brush some of the oxide off, giving it a raw, rustic look. I enlarge the opening on the rock crystal bead so it works as a captive bead in the hoop, making it easy to open and close.
I use a hoop thats 25mm in inner diameter to start with and open it up so the bead fits perfectly. Since these raw beads are slightly different in size the exact diameter of the hoops will be slightgly differerent but it's approx. 30mm.
